The 'Facebook Messenger' enables users to directly contact their friends' phones
The social network Facebook has launched an instant messaging service, very similar to BlackBerry Messenger and the popular 'WhatsApp' available on different mobile platforms. The service, called 'Facebook Messenger' is now available on iTunes.
According ahead in their website, 'Facebook Messenger' is "a faster way to exchange messages" between social network users by allowing them to directly contact the phone numbers of friends "wherever they go."
The new application will create group conversations, and offer the user the ability to share your location or see where your friends have turned on geotagging.
According to blog about social media and networking Thirteen Bits 'Facebook Messages' currently only available for IOS, but is expected to soon landing on other platforms such as Blackberry and Android.
